Hickory Nut Gap Meats has been a presence in WNC in one form or another since 1916. The Hickory Nut Gap Farm has been lovingly tended by five generations of the McClure family, who still oversee it to this day. In 2008, the family placed the farm into a conservation easement with the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy. The beef, pork, and chicken raised by Hickory Nut Gap receive the highest standard of care. Rotational grazing and other regenerative farming practices allow the farm to sequester carbon, promote biodiversity, and produce some of the tastiest meats you’ve ever had!
