Matt Parris started a tiny takeout business in Asheville in 2006 called Roots Café. While he had many popular dishes, his hummus was the star. In fact, people started begging him to sell it by the pound! Matt realized he’d created something special that people connected with and decided to focus exclusively on making hummus.
